Environment is our harbor, it is the platform and foundation of our health, it is actually the source of sustaining all of our physical senses to breath, hear, look walk, touch etc. The lack of environmental protection is like unconscious suicide where unprotected land will create famine; emission of C02 and other harmful gases will cause pulmonary diseases and certain form of cancers, where deforestation only contributes 12–20% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
Environmental health refers on the relationships between people and their environment; promotes human health and well-being; and fosters healthy and safe communities.
Comprehensive public health could be possible without improving and controlling our environment because it is a shared platform with human, animals and plant though Onehealth approach. This could be only possible by putting in place a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary methods to protect and sustain the ecosystem by maintaining the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
We are on ‘One world’ and we have ‘One health.’(OWOH). Therefore, this suggest the environment protection through four different components which are the geographical component, the ecological one, the human activities and the food-agricultural ones.
