Communicable diseases
The communicable diseases are diseases which may be transmitted from one person to another by direct contact with an affected individual or the individual's discharges or by indirect means (as by a vector).
Six Characteristics of Infectious diseases
- Infectivity: The ability to enter and multiply in the host.
- Pathogenicity: The ability to produce a specific clinical reaction after infection occurs.
- Virulence: The ability to produce a severe pathological reaction.
- Toxicity: The ability to produce a poisonous reaction.
- Invasiveness: The ability to penetrate and spread throughout the tissue.
- Antigenicity: The ability to stimulate an immunological response

- COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), (SARS‑CoV‑2).
- HIV/AIDS caused by human immunodeficiency virus.

Infectious diseases prevention
Our organization is currently devoted to support people wherever they are to know and practice measures that help them prevent and contain the spread of infectious disease.
- Practice the hand washing.
- Immunization compliance for children and adult.
- Infection control standard, contact, droplet, and airborne precautions.
- Procedures for decontamination of persons and disinfection of equipment. and the environment or surface disinfection.
- Quarantine of sick and contacts (if necessary), keep distance from sick people and stay home.
- Prophylaxis of exposed individuals.
- Control of the vectors of infection (Indoor spraying and mosquito-vectors etc.).
- Ventilate your home.
- Ensure food safety during preparation and conservation.
- Practice safe sex.
